1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Research Council AI (the “Service”), operated by DigiTransact AI, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Research Council AI is a multi-agent artificial intelligence platform that assists users in drafting, reviewing, and refining research papers. The Service uses multiple AI agents to debate, synthesise, and produce structured academic content. The platform is developed and owned by DigiTransact AI.

3. User Accounts

You must create an account to use most features of the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it current.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Certain features of the Service require a paid subscription or credit purchase. All fees are stated on the Pricing page and are subject to change with reasonable notice. Payments are processed securely through our third-party payment provider. All purchases are final unless otherwise stated. Subscription credits are non-transferable and reset at the beginning of each billing cycle; unused included credits do not roll over. Top-up credits remain valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
  • Submit content that infringes on intellectual property rights of others
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without permission
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
  • Submit the AI-generated output as your own work in contexts that prohibit AI assistance without proper disclosure

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, features, and branding, is owned by DigiTransact AI and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the content you input into the Service. You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the AI-generated outputs for your personal or professional purposes. DigiTransact AI does not claim ownership over your research content or the papers generated through the Service.

7. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Content produced by Research Council AI is generated by artificial intelligence and is intended as a drafting aid. It should not be treated as a substitute for professional academic research, peer review, or expert judgement. DigiTransact AI does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or originality of AI-generated content. You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and properly citing all outputs before submission or publication.

8. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the Service, you consent to such processing.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DigiTransact AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Termination

DigiTransact AI reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may also delete your account at any time by contacting us.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the updated terms on the Service with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ghana, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
